INSTALLATIEVOORSCHRIFTEN LED STRIPS (INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS LED STRIPS)

        Installation guidelines Prolumia LED strips
        ATTENTION

        1. Applications:
           A. INDOOR:
             l. Dry area: IP20 LED strip (Type numbers: 4612xxxx (12V) & 4622xxxx (24V).
             ll. Humid area: IP62 LED strip (Type numbers: 4611xxxx (12V) & 4621xxxx (24V).
             lll. Wet area: IP68 LED strip (Type numbers: 4610xxxx (12V) & 4620xxxx (24V).
           B. OUTDOOR:
             l. Always use a IP68 LED strip (Type numbers: 4610xxxx (12V) & 4620xxxx (24V).
        2. Cooling:
LED strips generate (depending on the type (power/m)) more or less heat. The lifetime of the LED strip is largely influenced by the actual cooling. For proper cooling there are various types of cooling
profiles available (model numbers: 46290xxx). LED strips with a power of 9.6W per meter or higher must be installed with a cooling profile (whether or not architecturally implemented). This can (for exam-
ple) also be a metal surface.
For recessed mounting of the LED strip, a (recessed) aluminum profile should be used. On both sides of the aluminum profile must be sufficient space (minimum of 2.5mm) to provide proper cooling. When
applying a lens for covering, please shorten the lens by 15 mm on each side to create a natural airflow.
        3. Power supply:
The supply voltage must not exceed the specified operating voltage of the LED strip (12V or 24V). Most of the power supplies have a possibility to slightly adjust the output voltage if necessary.

        4. Mounting:
          l. Provide sufficient cooling of the LED strip.
ll. LED strips with a 3M double-sided adhesive strip can only be mounted on a flat, dust and grease free surface.
lll. LED strips can only be shortened at the indicated marks.
llll. For a proper waterproofing finishing of the IP68 LED strip, the enclosed end caps and glue must be used. The IP62 LED strip can properly be sealed when applying a heatshrink tube which is equipped
           with a adhesive layer.
        5. Connections:
          l. LED strips can not be connected to one another. The maximum connection length is 5m.
ll. LED strips with a power > 9.6W per meter should be powered on both sides.
lll. We advise to calculate an extra margin of at least 10% of the maximum output power when choosing the appropriate power supply.
lV. Please assure proper ventilation of the powersupply and make sure the heat generated by the powersupply can be properly discharged.
